This blog post, written by Simon Lee, contains an imaginative sporting XI made up of literary figures who studied at Oxford.  William Golding features prominently in the post and Lee suggests that it is Golding 'who is at the cusp of the topics of Oxford sport, literature and legends'. Lee examines Golding's involvement with sport, and includes information from Judy Golding's memoir, The Children of Lovers, and John Carey's biography, William Golding: The Man who wrote Lord of the Flies.  It also features an interesting explication on the ending of Lord of the Flies.
